WHAT: TROOP (HERO) APPRECIATION DAY- For troops, spouses & children. This will
include a 3 hour cruise, swimming, fishing contest, prizes, Special $40.00 hotel rates @ Tan
Tara & Pier 31 will supply the dinners, soft drinks, boats for 30 & 5 free hotel rooms.
WHEN: SATURDAY May 22, BOATS LEAVE FROM PIER 31AT 1:30 To Ha, Ha Tonka State
Park where you can swim, fish, hike, rest, visit the Castle or ?? Returns to Pier 31 for a fishing
contest that will start about 5:30 for children up to 14 followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m & the
awarding of HERO AWARDS & PRIZES. Pier 31 will furnish 5 hotel rooms for the first 5 that
call Pier 31 at 573-692-0502. Our rooms are non-smoking & have 2 beds. TAN TARA who is
always very generous helping our HEROES will provide special room rates of $40.00. Call
800-827-8272 to make reservations & tell them you are with THE ADOPT A PLATOON GROUP
to get your special rate.
WHO: 160 troops that are serving or have served in the last year, their spouses &
children. If the soldier is not able to come their spouse & children are welcomed to come &
participate.

APPRECIATION & HELP MAKE THINGS BRIGHTER FOR THEM PLEDGING THEIR LIVES TO
